Hunter T. Doi

Hunter T. Doi passed away suddenly on June 27, 2024 in Moss Beach, California. He was born to Amy Tamaki Doi and Hunter Tetsuo Doi on April 11, 1957 in Redwood City, California.

Hunter graduated from Palo Alto High School in 1975. He went on to get his Bachelor of Arts at Chapman College in Southern California. Finally receiving his Master's in Social Work from University of Michigan.

Hunter's career started with working for the County of Santa Clara court system first in traffic court and eventually retiring early at age 55 from the Superior Court.

He was predeceased by both his parents. He was a devoted son to them, especially his mother, Amy. Supporting and helping her as she aged and taking on more responsibilities as needed so she could live at home until she died.

Hunter always loved shopping and going out to eat. With his early retirement he was able to enjoy both. Allowing him to keep his many friendships going, he was a consummate card writer. He sent cards for all occasions to friends near and far. He was a collector of fine ornaments. He would shop for just the right gift to send or give. Or enjoy a meal, concert, ball game or going shopping with a friend. He was a devoted friend for life and always more than generous.

Hunter leaves behind his sister, Elizabeth, her husband, Kenny Ludwig and their daughter his favorite Niece, Marissa. Plus the many friends he shared wonderful memories with.
