I lived and worked in S.F. for awhile. Moved back to Palo Alto and commuted to the City for several years. I accepted a job offer in Santa Monica and moved down in 1997. I always thought I'd move back but 20+ years later it appears that I won't be doing that any time soon. Currently living and working in Burbank helping to make cartoons.
