Lyman Miller - Class Of 1959

Lyman G. Miller, Jr.

Longtime Palo Alto resident, Lyman G. Miller, Jr. passed away on February 3, 2020.  He was born in San Diego, CA February 18, 1941 to Lyman and Edna Frank Miller. 

Following his father's retirement from the USMC in 1952, the family settled in Palo Alto.  Lyman was a 1959 graduate of Palo Alto High School and attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he met his future wife.  He enlisted in the US Navy serving on the USS Platt during the VietNam war. 

He worked at Hewlett-Packard for thirty years as an electronic engineer, and did audio engineering research in his spare time. 

He is survived by his wife, Alice; a daughter, Melinda of Santa Clara, CA, and a sister, Judy Botsford Warren of Palo Alto, CA and her husband, Bill.

The family suggests that donations be made to the Audubon Society, The American Kidney Association or the Stanford University Music Department. 

A celebration of life is being planned for a future date.
