JOYCE (Helm) CARNEY

Joyce Helm Carney was born October 30, 1931 in Palo Alto, California to C. Hugo and Hildegarde Helm and passed away on January 22, 2018 at home in Sunnyvale, California. She was 86. 

Joyce was a 1949 Palo Alto High School graduate and attended San Jose State University.

She worked at Hewlett-Packard in the Finance Department. After being a home-maker and raising a family, she worked as a part time secretary for the Cupertino School District.

Joyce and Mike enjoyed ballroom, folk, and square dancing. She also liked to play mahjong and bridge.
They toured most of the United States and came to the conclusion the best place to live was Sunnyvale where they lived in the same home throughout their entire married life. 

Joyce is survived by her husband of 56 years Michael E. Carney; her children David Carney [Ann] of Cameron Park, CA, Diane [Jeff Miller] of Meridian, Idaho. She has 6 grandchildren, Kelsey, Keaton. Hayley and Chelsea Miller, and Kyle and Alicia Kot. 

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11am at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave., Sunnyvale. Reception to follow at the family home.
