                                     ROBERT SHERMAN (Bob) BUKER

                                                      March 3, 1948 - January 7, 2014

 

 

Robert Sherman Buker passed away January 7, 2014. He was born in Palo Alto on March 3, 1948 to John and Betty Buker. After graduating from Palo Alto High School in 1966, Bob went on to Foothill College and work at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) National Accelerator Laboratory.

After marrying his high school sweetheart, Deborah Fuller he pursued a career in writing and worked as the editor of the Pacific Daily News on Guam. Screenwriting and part-time acting were interests he continued to enjoy after moving to Richmond, Virginia and working as an engineer for Power Distribution Incorporated.

Bob and Deborah raised two children, Christopher and Leslie with whom they traveled the world and enjoyed many adventures. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by great aunts Blanche Green, Marge Fawcett, Willa Mae Gird; sisters Kim Chansler, Elizabeth Best, Maile Buker; nieces Katie and Rachel; nephew Andrew.

A private family memorial was held.
