In Memory

Suzanne Lynn Perroton (Galloway) - Class Of 1977

                            Suzanne Lynn (nee Perroton) Galloway

                                        April 23, 1959 – July 28, 2022

Suzanne was a 2nd-generation Palo Altan and 8th generation Californian. She attended Crescent Park Elementary, Jordan Jr. High, and Palo Alto High School (Class of 1977). While at “Paly” she was a cheerleader, pom-pom girl, and on the Campanile Newspaper and 1977 Yearbook Staffs. And at the end of her senior year, her fellow classmates voted her “Biggest Flirt.” Suzanne was also active in LDS youth activities and attended the Church- sponsored Camp Liahona.

She graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Mass Communications–fitting for a bubbly, vivacious former cheerleader! As a member of the Alpha Phi Fraternity and the Greek system at Davis, Suzanne made many lifelong friends.

In the early days of the PC industry, Suzanne put her communications skills to work at Carlick Advertising and later in sales for Dysan and Xidex. However, in the early 1990s, Suzanne was diagnosed with acute Multiple Sclerosis which left her with limited mobility through the remainder of her life. Rather than dwelling on her disabilities and what could have been, Suzanne found joy in making others feel appreciated and loved. She was always delighted to receive guests, hear news about friends, and give updates on her beloved children–Marc and Cheryl. And for many years, she was our “go to” recommender and a devoted film critic of every current movie—but she especially loved the RomComs!

Suzanne’s kindness and exuberance were an inspiration to many; we are thankful for the friends and family who helped make her life happy and meaningful. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Ilaisaane and Seini Mahe for providing gentle, kind and loving care for many years.

Suzanne is survived by her son and daughter, Marc and Cheryl Galloway, as well as sisters Nancy (Ron) Ellickson and Ann (Dennis) Hayes, brother Jon, and four loving nieces and nephews. Her parents, Bob and Bette Perroton predeceased her.
